This Privacy Policy explains how Misconfigs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Today's Horoscope at https://todayshoroscope.info (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here and our Terms of Service.
1. Overview
Misconfigs LLC operates Today's Horoscope, a free multi-tradition horoscope experience. We do not require an account. Horoscope calculations are designed to run in your browser.
Data controller
For purposes of applicable privacy laws, Misconfigs LLC is the data controller for personal information processed through Today's Horoscope. Contact: [email protected].
California notice at collection. If you are a California resident, this Policy describes the categories of personal information we may collect, the purposes for which we use it, and how to exercise your rights. We do not sell personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA.
2. Birth profile & readings
When you enter a birth date, optional birth time, and city/place, that information is used locally in your browser to generate readings. By default we store your profile in browser local storage on your device so you do not have to re-enter it.
We do not operate a server-side account or birth-chart database. We do not intentionally transmit your birth profile to Misconfigs LLC servers as part of normal reading generation.
No guarantee of local-only processing forever. Hosting providers still see standard request metadata when pages load. Features may change. Browser extensions, sync, backups, or compromised devices can expose local storage. Clear site data in your browser to remove a stored profile.
Birth data can be sensitive. Use a private device when possible, and do not enter information you are unwilling to keep on that device.
3. Information we collect
Browser storage
We may use local storage and similar technologies for:
- Your birth profile (date, time, place/timezone metadata)
- Cookie preference choice (essential vs. accepted)
- Other UI settings that improve your experience
This information remains on your device until you clear it.
Technical & server data
When the Service is hosted (for example on Cloudflare Pages), infrastructure providers may record standard request metadata (IP address, browser type, referring URL, request path, and request time) for security, operations, and abuse prevention.
Analytics (optional)
If you choose "Accept all" in our cookie banner, we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic (for example page views). If you choose "Essential only," we will not enable optional analytics cookies. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Communications
If you email us, we receive the content of your message and your email address so we can respond.
4. How we use information

- Understand aggregate usage when analytics are enabled
We do not use birth profiles to build advertising profiles on our servers.
5. Sharing
We may share information with service providers who help us host or operate the Service (for example CDN/hosting), subject to appropriate safeguards; when required by law; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Retention
Local storage persists until you clear it. Email correspondence is retained as needed to handle your request and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Server logs are retained according to our hosting provider's practices and our operational needs.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures appropriate to a static, browser-first site. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for the security of your own device and browser.
9. International visitors
The Service may be accessed worldwide. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand that information processed by hosting providers may be handled in the U.S. or other countries where those providers operate.
10. Your rights & choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information, or to object to processing. For birth profiles stored only on your device, you can delete them by clearing site data for this domain.
To exercise rights regarding information we may hold (for example email correspondence), contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your request. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
